NFC GFC3 RFC3 RAFC FC Phillips’ Sir Louie Louie We Got To Go Now and Osage Prairie Teal Litter
Louie
“NFC GFC3 RFC3 RAFC FC Phillips’ Sir Louie Louie We Got To Go Now” is an intense, high-on-both-ends, stylish All-Age Brittany. Louie earned his Field Champion title at 2.5 years old. At 3.5 years, he had completed both his Grand Champion and Regional Champion titles. At 4, he won the American Brittany Club’s Open All-Age Championship. Louie’s pedigree includes notable dogs such as DC AFC The Whiz Kid, NFC FV AFC Shambo’s Dark Shadow (HOF), FC AFC Shady’s Count Kid, and HFC FC AFC Hi Proof Rum Runner (HOF). When we asked Louie’s trainer/handler, Scott Johnson, to describe Louie he said Louie is “the real deal” and he wishes there were more like him.
Teal
“Osage Prairie Teal” is a fly-around, high prey drive, and classy 35 lb Brittany. She is a hard hunting dog with a lot of go and a beautiful gait. She was bred and raised here at Smith Kennels. Her sire is DC NGDC GFC AFC Hope’s Chief of Crosscreek (“Chief”). Her dam is Osage Prairie White Oak, a daughter of our own Tall Chief of the Osage (“Chief”). Teal’s range will average 75-100 yards. She “goes with you” very nicely in the field. She has a strong work ethic, a personality that is easy to work with, and is consistent on birds.

Over the coming weeks, we will spend extensive hands-on time with the puppies, focusing on early development and socialization. They have completed the Super Puppy Program and will continue to be introduced to new sights, sounds, surfaces, and experiences. As they mature, the litter will begin short puppy walks in our fields to learn how to move with us and navigate varied terrain, along with early recall work using “Here pup” and a whistle. Housebreaking begins early in our puppy room, which encourages clean habits. By pickup, puppies will be using a dog door to go outside and a potty tray when indoors. As opportunities arise, they will also be introduced to birds. We will continue to share photos and videos as the puppies develop.
Puppy pickups are scheduled for the week of February 3, 2026. Travel arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. At pickup, puppies will be up to date on vaccinations and deworming, and AKC registration has been prepaid, with ownership transferred at that time.
We place a strong emphasis on matching each puppy with the right home and do not make puppy picks based solely on chronological order of commitments. Placement preference will be given to owners who are dedicated bird hunters or field trialers and can provide the best training and hunting opportunities for that individual pup. These pups are bred to be big-running bird dogs, with the range, independence, and athleticism to cover ground and hunt with intensity. While they should make excellent companions, these are not expected to be close-ranging or low-energy dogs. We work with each prospective owner to guide them toward a puppy that best fits their lifestyle and goals, aiming for long-term success for both dog and owner.
We are reserving a male and a female out of this litter.
