The Complete Training Bundle includes: Pro Line Command Lead in the color of your choice, Check Cord, Leather Collar, and a Smith Kennels cap. This bundle will set you up with the training items used in the Smith Method of Training so you can begin training your own bird dog.

  • Pro Line Command Lead or Wonder Lead is a 6 ft stiff lead designed to teach dogs to heel on a loose lead. This slip lead has a handmade colored bumper which allows you to customize the size of your loop to fit your dog’s neck comfortably. The leather bumper on the end is a tribute to its developer and also provides a stopper in case your dog rapidly pulls to the end of the lead.

  • Check Cord: This is the only checkcord that we use when we are training dogs.  It is constructed of 7/16 solid braid nylon rope this 20 foot check cord is stiff, making it easier to check cord your dog and less likely to chaff your hands. The hardware is solid Italian brass swivel snap.  This rope is made specifically for our family.

  • Leather Collar: Leather is smooth against a dog's neck and will not pull hair like a lot of nylon collars. This also helps the collar rotate around your dog's neck when you cue with a checkcord, thus maintaining a consistent point of contact. The hardware is solid brass and you can feel confident it is not going to pull apart when your dog puts pressure on it. The extended D-ring makes it easier to attach a snap to the collar.  This collar is 21 inches long and has 8 holes for the perfect fit on your dog. This collar is approx. 1/8 inch thick. 

  • Smith Kennels Cap: Structured, six-panel, mid-profile trucker cap with a mesh back for ventilation. Size adjustment with plastic snapback. The front is a chocolate brown and the mesh back is a khaki that matches the logo on the front.
